leyI am a theatre and film actor currently based in New York City. I am a recent graduate of Belmont University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree.
I have had the privilege to perform in live theatre since I was 5, where I portrayed a timorous chorus member mermaid in my elementary school’s production of The Little Mermaid. Since then, I have found opportunities in many types of theatre, including realism, absurdism, Shakespearean, French Restoration, tragedy, and even devised. I believe that the best way to grow as a performer is to learn, so I am always eager to try out new genres that expand my knowledge (I have a performance bucket list that I don’t intend to stop adding to!).
I discovered film acting in college after meeting filmmakers that shared a passion for performing arts that exceeded my imagination. They opened my eyes to a new way of storytelling and collaboration that had not yet been accessible to me. I quickly developed a love for the medium and have worked on films at a collegiate and professional level, including Belmont University, Vanderbilt University, Canyon Productions, and Naptown Films. I have had the opportunity to work with comedies, dramas, and coming-of-age short films.
I firmly believe the most important aspect of performance is collaboration. I am nothing without the hard work and dedication of other cast and creative members. As a recent college graduate, I am eager to enter the professional world and network with individuals that truly appreciate the craft and crave the playfulness as I have for 23 years.
